In May Alpine Slide announced the new Mineshaft Coaster at Alpine Slide Big Bear. The family-friendly thrill ride built directly into the mountainside is California’s first and only mountain coaster. Alpine Slide Big Bear has more good news for adventure-seeking families. Starting July 2 through Labor Day Weekend, Alpine Slide will turn the lights on past sunset every Friday and Saturday, plus Sunday, Sept. 5.
Alpine Slide’s summer nights will keep five out of six of its attractions open until 9 p.m. on weekends, including Mineshaft Coaster, which will have fixed lights on each cart to resemble a gold miner’s lamp. The Soaring Eagle Ride will have a spectrum display of multi-colored lights. Other attractions families can experience from dusk to dark are The Alpine Slide Ride, Go-Karts, Soaring Eagle Ride and Mini Golf.
The summer operating hours for Mineshaft Coaster, The Soaring Eagle Ride, Alpine Slide Ride, Go-Karts and Mini Golf are Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 9p.m. The Double Waterslide is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Alpine Slide Big Bear is located at 800 Wildrose Lane in Big Bear.
